There’s something different about seeing a tractor in person.
You can read a specification sheet, watch videos online or scroll through product information on a website, but none of those experiences compares to climbing into the cab, speaking with the people behind the machine and putting it to work for yourself.
That is exactly what the Valtra 75 Years Roadshow was designed to do.
Over the course of three weeks, the Roadshow travelled across the UK and Ireland, bringing together customers, dealers, product specialists and the latest Valtra machinery.
From the countryside of southern England to the challenging weather of Scotland and the warm welcome of Ireland, every stop had its own character.
Yet wherever we went, one thing remained constant: people wanted to get hands-on with the machines and have genuine conversations about farming, technology and the future of their businesses.
The Keys are Yours
From the very first event, it became clear that visitors wanted more than a quick look around the latest tractors.
Throughout the Roadshow, customers had the opportunity to get behind the wheel and experience Valtra tractors for themselves. Across dedicated test drive routes, visitors were able to explore the machines in real-world conditions, gaining a feel for their comfort, visibility, performance and ease of operation.
For many, it was their first chance to spend meaningful time with the latest Valtra range, including the all-new Valtra T6 Series.
Questions about specifications quickly developed into conversations about productivity, fuel efficiency, Smart Farming technology and how different features could support specific farming operations.
Whether overlooking the stunning surroundings of Weston Park or enjoying the atmosphere at Bath & West Showground, visitors embraced the opportunity to experience the tractors first-hand. The steady stream of test drives throughout the tour proved that there is still no substitute for getting into the driver's seat and seeing a machine in action.
Along the way, the Roadshow also delivered plenty of memorable moments, including a friendly tug-of-war competition that quickly became a talking point among attendees.
Beyond the Brochure
Of course, a tractor is at its best when it is working.
Across several venues, visitors were able to see machines paired with implements and tackling practical tasks, helping to demonstrate how the tractors perform in everyday agricultural applications.
These demonstrations created the perfect opportunity to discuss tractor capabilities, hydraulic performance, versatility and suitability for different types of farming operations.
The tractor appraisal opportunities were equally popular. Many visitors took the chance to discuss their current machines and future requirements with the Valtra team and dealer representatives. These conversations often extended well beyond machinery, touching on labour shortages, rising input costs, business efficiency and the wider challenges facing agriculture in the UK and Ireland today.
One of the most rewarding aspects of the Roadshow was seeing those discussions develop naturally throughout the day. Rather than simply showcasing products, the events created an environment where customers could ask questions, share experiences and explore solutions that could make a real difference to their businesses.
The People Behind the Machines
While the tractors attracted plenty of attention, the Roadshow was ultimately about people.
Every venue welcomed a mixture of long-standing Valtra customers, prospective owners and those simply curious to learn more about the brand. Familiar faces returned throughout the tour, while many visitors experienced Valtra for the first time.
Dealer teams played a vital role at each stop, bringing local knowledge, practical experience and a deep understanding of their customers' businesses. Whether discussing machinery specifications or sharing stories over a cup of coffee, the conversations were often just as valuable as the demonstrations themselves.
Agriculture is built on relationships, and the Roadshow highlighted just how important those connections remain. It provided an opportunity for people to step away from their daily routines, meet others from across the industry and exchange ideas, experiences and perspectives.
By the time the tour reached its later venues, there was a real sense of community surrounding the events. Wherever the Roadshow travelled, people arrived with a shared passion for farming and machinery, creating an atmosphere that was welcoming, informative and enjoyable.
From Sunshine to Storms
As the Roadshow moved north, the scenery changed dramatically, but the enthusiasm of attendees never did.
The Scottish leg of the tour delivered some of the most memorable moments of the entire journey. At Thainstone Agricultural Centre, visitors enjoyed impressive surroundings, strong attendance and a full day of test drives, demonstrations and conversations with the Valtra team.
A few days later, conditions at SRUC Barony in Dumfries told a very different story.
Storms Austen and Boelo arrived back-to-back with heavy rain and strong winds, creating challenging conditions for dealers and visitors alike. Yet despite the weather, customers continued to arrive throughout the day, determined not to miss the opportunity to get up close to the new machines and meet the team.
In many ways, the conditions reflected the resilience that defines farming. Agriculture does not stop when the weather turns, and neither did the enthusiasm of those attending the event. The weather may have dominated the forecast, but it certainly did not dominate the mood.
The turnout and positivity shown at both Scottish events demonstrated the strength of the farming community and the continued interest in the Valtra brand.
Across the Irish Sea
As the Roadshow neared its conclusion, there was still one final destination to visit.
The journey ended at Gurteen College in Ireland, where the event took on a slightly different format across two days.
The first day was an exclusive launch event for the Irish Valtra dealer network. It provided an opportunity for dealer representatives from across the country to come together, explore the latest developments within the Valtra range and discuss how the brand continues to evolve to meet the needs of modern agriculture.
The conversations throughout the day reflected a genuine passion for Valtra and a shared commitment to supporting customers across Ireland. It was an important moment for the dealer network to connect, exchange ideas and look ahead to future opportunities.
On the second day, the event opened to customers, and the familiar Roadshow atmosphere quickly returned. Visitors were eager to explore the machines, speak with product specialists and learn more about how the latest technology could support their farming operations.
What stood out most across both days was the quality of the conversations. There was genuine interest, thoughtful discussion and an enthusiasm for the products that reinforced everything the Roadshow had been building towards over the previous three weeks.
As the final stop, Gurteen provided a fitting conclusion to the journey. It brought together the people who represent the brand and the customers who put the machines to work every day, all united by a shared passion for agriculture.
Thank You
As the final event came to a close and the Roadshow equipment began its journey home, it was an opportunity to reflect on what made the Valtra 75 Years Roadshow such a success.
Over three weeks, we travelled across the UK and Ireland, welcomed customers old and new, worked alongside our dealer partners and shared countless conversations about machinery, technology and the future of farming. While every venue was different, the enthusiasm, passion and support shown throughout the tour remained constant.
From the first test drives in England to the final conversations in Ireland, the Roadshow was about far more than tractors. It was about bringing people together, sharing knowledge, answering questions and giving customers the opportunity to experience Valtra machinery first-hand.
To everyone who attended an event, took a test drive, joined a demonstration, asked questions, or simply stopped by for a chat, thank you. Your support, feedback and enthusiasm are what make events like these worthwhile.
