Black and orange now offered on new Valtra tractors
19.05.2008Valtra is offering two new colours on its tractors: orange and black. Metallic Black has long been on the wish list of Valtra customers, and some have even had their Valtra tractors painted black after delivery. The shiny Racing Orange colour is suggestive of sports cars and is also ideal for municipal use.
The new colours are now available for order, with production being phased in from the start of August. At the same time the regular blue and green colours will be discontinued, while the popular metallic blue and green colours will still be available. The changes apply to the T and N Series. The new colours are not available on the A Series.
The Valtra colour line celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Valtra was the first tractor manufacturer in the world to offer customers the chance to choose the colour of their new tractors themselves. Twenty years ago the choices consisted of five different colours. Today Valtra offers eight colours: black, orange, silver, yellow, red and metallic red, metallic blue and metallic green.
AutoComfort, AutoGuide and Evolution seat in serial production
Valtra’s AutoComfort semi-active cab suspension, which was launched and awarded at Agritechnica last autumn, is in full serial production. The semi-active cab suspension system adjusts the stiffness of the shock absorption according to the movement of the tractor. AutoComfort is available as an option on the T Series.
Valtra’s Auto-Guide satellite assisted steering system is also now in serial production. Auto-Guide uses GPS technology to accurately steer the tractor down to a few centimetres without the driver having to touch the wheel. An Auto-Guide Readiness Kit is also available that includes all the wiring and other modifications needed to retrofit the Auto-Guide system. The Readiness Kit is ideal for customers who are not ready to invest in the full Auto-Guide system just now but might need it later. Auto-Guide is available on HiTech and Advance models of the T Series from the T151 upwards.
The air-conditioned Evolution driver’s seat has also been introduced into serial production. The seat offers a wide range of automatic features and adjustments, including adjustable lower-back support, automatic stiffness adjustment according to weight and lateral suspension.
