Valtra sponsors Finnish ice hockey champions
15.04.2009The Jyväskylä-based ice hockey team JYP has won the Finnish Championship. Valtra has been the main sponsor of JYP since 2004, when the finals of the Finnish Championship were set as the main goal for co-operation.
Ice hockey team JYP won Finnish Championship clearly by winning the regular season and playing the finals without a defeat.
Valtra and JYP teamed up because they share similar values of team play, professionalism and long-term development work. Both Valtra and JYP have learned a lot from each other during the collaboration. Practical examples of the co-operation are ice hockey schools for the children of Valtra customers, lecturing events within both organisations, and naturally the great experiences at the matches that JYP has offered Valtra’s personnel, partners and customers.
Co-operation with JYP has provided Valtra with publicity outside of the traditional farming media, and new positive associations have been added to the Valtra brand. In addition to ice hockey, Valtra has traditionally sponsored motor sports, including rallying and tractor pulling. Compared with these, the co-operation with JYP has been targeted more at the domestic market and co-operation partners other than customers.
