The UK & Ireland Valtra team supports a nationwide
dealer network from AGCO's European Operations Centre at
Abbey Park Stoneleigh, Warwickshire and has helped the
Valtra brand make continued growth for many years.
Previously based in Runcorn, Cheshire, the move to
Banner Lane in 2005 (and now Abbey Park in 2006)
resulted in even more dealer and customer-focused staff
as well as the backing of the AGCO Corporation, one of
the world's leading agricultural organisations.
Product, Sales, Service and Administrative support are
all handled by an experienced, focused team that ensures
quality customer service at all times.
Over the years Valtra UK & Ireland has steadily built a
strong market share and continues to make excellent
progress based on a unique custom-built business model
that produces high-performance, reliable tractors for an

A Brief History of Valtra
Ever since Valtra was introduced (as Valmet) in 1951 from
the Finland Government's State Metal Works operation
(which primarily produced war materials) its development
into today's global brand has been exciting and
groundbreaking.
Rapid growth in Finland and entry into other markets was
quickly followed by setting up production in Brazil
(1960) to establish the company as a world power in the
tractor industry.
In 1979 an agreement was made with Volvo BM (a company
with a history dating back to 1832) to create Volvo BM
Valmet. Since then a number of name changes has
culminted in the purchase of Valtra by the AGCO
Corporation in 2004, where it relocated to its European Headquarters,
Coventry.
Today Valtra is the fourth largest tractor manufacturer in
the world (over 60hp), producing almost 20,000 units per year.
Throughout the years the fundamental values of the
original Valmet organisation has remained, which has
resulted in quality, custom-built tractors for customers
across the world.

around the world - Market areas . Valtra has tractor production plants in Finland Suolahti tractor factory and Brazil Valtra do Brasil.
Valtra Inc.'s management is located in the Suolahti tractor factory. Also, the Customer Centre and the maintenance service centre Service Organisation
are located in Suolahti. Product development operates in Jyväskylä. Product development
